Winthrop & Weinstine Signs Long-Term Lease Extension

The Minneapolis-based law firm of Winthrop & Weinstine has entered into a long-term lease extension and expansion at Capella Tower in Downtown Minneapolis. The 4th-largest law firm in the Twin Cities, Winthrop & Weinstine will expand from approximately 100,000 square feet to 107,000 square feet in the Class A office property.

Paul Donovan, Jaclyn May and Tom DeSautel of Cushman & Wakefield represented Winthrop & Weinstine in the renewal and expansion.

Maslon Law Firm Relocating to Capella Tower

Minneapolis-based law firm Maslon is relocating its offices in downtown Minneapolis to approximately 30,000 square feet at Capella Tower. Maslon will complete the move next January, departing from long-term space at Wells Fargo Center.

Maslon will benefit from Class A space at Capella Tower that will be tailored to suit the needs of the firm’s employees.

Quarles & Brady Expands in Downtown Minneapolis

The law firm of Quarles & Brady has recently relocated into office space at 60 South Sixth (formerly RBC Plaza) in downtown Minneapolis.  Represented by John McKenna of Cushman & Wakefield’s MSP Advisory Services Team, the Milwaukee-based firm expanded its leased premises by approximately 24% and now occupies in excess of 8,000 square feet.

ERM FEATURED IN MPLS/ST. PAUL BUSINESS JOURNAL’S “COOL OFFICES”

ERM, an environmental and sustainability consulting firm, relocated its office from the IDS Center in downtown Minneapolis to Two22 (formerly Campbell Mithun Tower) in September 2020.

The London-based company used the Minneapolis office relocation to downsize into an open floor plan suite, while showcasing its environmental expertise.

Having occupied the fourth floor of the Flagship Corporate Center in Eden Prairie since late 2002, the law firm of Fafinski, Mark & Johnson recently modernized its office to better appeal to a growing number of millennial employees, while also reflecting the firm’s brand identity.  Renovations steered the firm’s 24,386 square foot office away from traditional public spaces to a more open, contemporary and transparent configuration.

Paul Donovan & Jaclyn May Featured in ALAMN Publication

Paul Donovan and Jaclyn May are featured in the June/July 2020 issue of The Verdict, the bi-monthly newsletter of ALAMN. In the article, they address how employers can make sure they are prepared to receive their workforce — and make sure their employees are prepared. Cushman & Wakefield leads the development of best practices, products and partnerships to prepare organizations for post-COVID-19 recovery and the eventual return to the workplace.

The Cushman & Wakefield Advisory Services Team represented Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities in the recent acquisition of a new headquarters facility in north Minneapolis. The nonprofit will take occupancy of the new facility in Fall 2020.

MSP ADVISORY SERVICES TEAM HELPS MINNEAPOLIS CHURCH LEASE SCHOOL BUILDING

KIPP Minnesota signed a five-year lease with the Church of St. Anne – St. Joseph Hien for the former private school building at 2620 Russell Avenue North in Minneapolis, Minnesota. KIPP will take occupancy this July ahead of the 2019-2020 school year.

Jeremy Striffler of the MSP Advisory Services Team represented the Parish in the transaction.

KIPP’s mission is to establish and operate high performing public schools in the Twin Cities that confront educational inequity by delivering academic excellence and cultivating leadership skills to ensure all students succeed in college and life. The new campus is part of KIPP’s strategic plan to grow to four schools – two primary schools and two middle schools – serving over 1,000 students in grades K-8 by 2024.
