The Cushman & Wakefield Advisory Services Team represented Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities in the recent acquisition of a new headquarters facility in north Minneapolis. The nonprofit will take occupancy of the new facility in Fall 2020.

MSP Advisory Services Team Leads Site Selection Process for Crescent Cove

After years of planning and fundraising, Crescent Cove, a nonprofit Lindenfelser founded in 2009, is in the process of buying a facility in Brooklyn Center that will one day house the state’s first community children’s hospice and respite home — and one of only a few such facilities in the country. The nonprofit expects to welcome its first families in October.

The MSP Advisory Services Team is leading the site search/selection process with other volunteers for Crescent Cove on a pro-bono basis.

MN Council on Foundations Leases Space at TractorWorks Building

The MSP Advisory Services Team represented the Minnesota Council on Foundations in their lease of office space at the TractorWorks Building in the Minneapolis North Loop neighborhood.

Volunteers of America Leases Office Space

The MSP Advisory Services Team represented Volunteers of America of Minnesota and Wisconsin in the leasing of 6,164 SF of office space at MidAmerica Financial Plaza, 9220 Bass Lake Road, New Hope.  They will relocate the services they currently offer at their Golden Valley clinic in mid-November and are excited to announce a new name for all of their mental health services – Vona Center for Mental Health™.

Volunteers of America of Minnesota and Wisconsin is now in their 120th year, serving the most vulnerable in Minnesota and Wisconsin. In 2015, they served more than 24,000 people and employed a staff of 800 in Minnesota and Wisconsin, in more than 110 locations. They coordinated the efforts of nearly 1,800 volunteers, who contributed over 120,000 hours of service.

Minneapolis Jewish Federation Leases Space to Arete Academy

Represented the Landlord, the Minneapolis Jewish Federation, in the leasing of 12,492 square feet of education space at the Barry Family Campus / Sabes Jewish Community Center, 4330 South Cedar Lake Road, Minneapolis, MN 55416. The center features more than 195,000 square feet of useable space, including indoor and outdoor pools, the Tychman Shapiro Art Gallery, auditorium and Dolly and Edward Fiterman Theatre, gymnasium, fitness center and locker rooms, and a variety of meeting rooms and activities. Arete Academy was the Tenant.

Minnesota Aids Project Subleases Westgate Space

Represented Minnesota AIDS Project in the sublease of 11,824 square feet at the Westgate Business Center, 2577 Territorial Road, in St. Paul, MN.  Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota was the sublandlord and CSM Family Holdings LLC was the landlord.

Founded in 1983 as a statewide nonprofit agency, the Minnesota AIDS Project envisions a Minnesota where new HIV infections are eliminated and individuals living with HIV live long, healthy lives. Their mission is to lead Minnesota’s fight to stop HIV through prevention, advocacy, awareness and services. In partnership with over 1,000 volunteers, they provide compassionate, confidential and non-discriminatory services, including practical, emotional and social support. In 2013, the organization provided services to more than half of the nearly 8,000 Minnesotans living with HIV. The Minnesota AIDS Project’s Risk Reduction staff members reach thousands more throughout the state with HIV prevention education, HIV testing and community outreach to those at the greatest risk for transmission.

IFF Leases Office Space at Rand Tower

Represented IFF in the leasing of 1,172 SF of office space at Rand Tower, 527 S Marquette Avenue, Minneapolis, MN. This is IFF’s first office in Minnesota.

IFF is a mission-driven lender, real estate consultant, and developer that helps communities thrive by creating opportunities for low-income communities and people with disabilities. Key to their success has been a deep sense of purpose, a broad perspective, and a relentless focus on achieving positive results.

Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration Sells Building

Represented the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in the sale of The Well located at 1784 Lacrosse Avenue East, St. Paul. The 13,127 square foot building has 16 dormitory style sleeping rooms, kitchen, offices, conference and meeting rooms.  People Incorporated was the buyer.

The Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration are Catholic sisters who, together with their affiliates and prayer partners, are engaged in furthering the work of the Catholic Church and the Gospel. They work in the United States and internationally in varied ministries, creating innovative approaches to healing, teaching and praying.

People Incorporated is a nonprofit organization that serves people with mental illness in the Minneapolis and St. Paul metro area. Founded in 1969, they now operate more than 60 programs including children’s programs, crisis residences, programs to help the homeless, residential programs, treatment services, case management, and in-home health services. In 2014 they served nearly 9,500 people.

Volunteers of America Sells Edina Building

Represented Volunteers of America Minnesota and Wisconsin in the sale of a 26,177 square foot office building to 7625 Investors LLC and subsequently leased back approximately half of the building. Located at 7625 Metro Boulevard in Edina, the building was sold as a cost-saving measure to enhance the nonprofit’s financial health. The MSP Advisory Services Team also represented Volunteers of America in the sale of other non-essential real estate this year.
