Represented car2go N.A. LLC in the leasing of 4,786 SF of warehouse space at 817 Vandalia Street, St. Paul, MN. The Family Fulford Partnership L.P. was the landlord.

EDF Renewable Energy Leases Space at Riverplace

The MSP Advisory Services Team represented EDF Renewable Development, Inc., in a 5-year lease renewal of 11,315 square feet at East Bridge Office Building at Riverplace, 10 Second Street N.E., Minneapolis, MN. Office Realty Corp. was the landlord.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield Opens Second Retail Store

The MSP Advisory Services Team represented Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota in their site selection for a second retail store in Roseville.

The team of executive director Paul Donovan, associate Jeremy Striffler and senior director Tom Martin helped Blue Cross evaluate and identify a new location at the Crossroads of Roseville Mall, located just north of Rosedale Center on County Road B2. The new store will open later this year.

Tom Martin said that Blue Cross liked the location because of its proximity to Rosedale and its access to Interstate 35W and Highway 36. “Demographically, Roseville fits the profile of a dense regional retail area and allows for strong traffic counts, visibility and easy access from many parts of the Twin Cities,” Tom explained.

The team represented the client in everything from evaluating Roseville against other markets to negotiating the new lease. Cushman & Wakefield’s GIS department also assisted in giving the client demographic details for the area.

Both current and prospective Blue Cross clients can use the retail stores for support, service and education about individual plans and Medicare coverage. Blue Cross opened a similar store in Edina last year, another CWN project.

A grand opening is planned for later this year, in time for 2016 open enrollment.

Cushman & Wakefield provides support for the 1,133,000 sq. ft. of Blue Cross real estate in the Twin Cities, including project management, lease administration, transaction management and facilities management. The two companies have partnered for more than 10 years.

Long Term Care Group Leases Space in Pennsylvania

The MSP Advisory Services Team represented Long Term Care Group in the lease of 5,216 square feet at 1210 Northbrook Drive, Trevose, Pennsylvania. Northbrook TC Equities LLC was the landlord.

The MSP Advisory Services Team represented SmartBase Solutions in the lease of 6,139 square feet at the Internet Exchange Building, 411 Washington Avenue North, Minneapolis. S&S Development Corporation was the landlord. Since 2005, SmartBase Solutions has empowered leading edge companies and organizations to crush their marketing goals. Kris Lynch, President & CEO of SmartBase Solutions, reached out to the Advisory Services Group about their facility needs due to the recent growth of their company. They needed to double the size of their office to accommodate the number of new employees. Further, they wanted to relocate to the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis so that they could better retain and attract employees. After successfully signing their new lease, she said, “Cushman & Wakefield worked hard for us and I really appreciate it.”
